Texas Monthly recognized Beverly Reeves with its “Texas Super Lawyer” honor in 2003, the inaugural year of the Texas award.  Texas Monthly also recognized Beverly as a Super Lawyer in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Texas Monthly recognized Kim Brightwell with its “Texas Super Lawyer” honor in 2006.  Super Lawyers are selected by Texas Monthly magazine, in cooperation with the publication Law and Politics.

In 2008, Texas Monthly recognized Paul Schlaud as one of its “Rising Stars”.  He was also recognized in 2006 and 2007.  Recipients of this designation are lawyers who are under 40 years of age or have been practicing law for 10 years or less.

ALI
In 2007, Paul Schlaud was elected as a member in the American Law Institute.  Founded in 1923, ALI has a membership consisting of judges, practicing lawyers, and legal scholars from all areas of the United States as well as some foreign countries, selected on the basis of professional achievement and demonstrated interest in the improvement of the law.  ALI, through a careful and deliberative process, drafts and then publishes various Restatements of the Law, model codes, and legal studies to promote the clarification and simplification of the law and its better adaptation to social needs, to secure the better administration of justice, and to encourage and carry on scholarly and scientific legal work.

Austin Children’s Shelter
Reeves & Brightwell received the “2004-2005 Outstanding Volunteer Group Award” from the Austin Children’s Shelter (“ACS”) in June 2005.  ACS recognized Reeves & Brightwell’s commitment to working directly with children at the Shelter.
