Lee handles complex business and commercial disputes for plaintiffs
and defendants at the trial and appellate court levels of state and
federal court. After graduating with honors from the
University of Texas School of Law and serving as an editor
on the Texas Law Review, Lee became an appellate associate
in Vinson & Elkins L.L.P.'s Austin office. Lee has represented clients in contract, products liability, deceptive trade practice, and insurance actions.
Representative Matters
- Represented pharmaceutical manufacturer of prescription drugs in products liability litigation; provided trial support by drafting pretrial motions and assisted with appeal
- Represented tire manufacturer in mass tort litigation in first suit to go to trial in Texas; drafted pretrial motions and motions for directed verdict and judgment as a matter of law
- Obtained summary judgment for airline company in insurance coverage dispute
- Drafted an amicus curiae brief for the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the National Association of Assistant U.S. Attorneys
- Provided pro bono representation to a criminal defendant in a murder case, resulting in the grant of a new trial by the Fifth Circuit and a time-served sentence for aggravated assault following the new trial
- Obtained summary judgment on indemnity grounds for an oil company in a multimillion dollar breach of contract dispute
